BREATHING POSTURE FOR RUNNING

Breath control is more efficient in an upright position, i.e., shoulders squared, pulled back, chest up. Face focused forward, and arms pumping with the elbow at about 90 degrees or more.
Rounding and raising the shoulders, hunching the back/spine, holding arms close to body is a tense posture making it difficult to breath.
Focus instead having both hands loose at side, thumbs up or hands in neutral position. This helps to draw the shoulder blades together and down for better postural support.
See images below. Relaxed shoulders, open chest, thumbs up, elbow angle, etc.
Give it a try!
